| Tim Hasson |
An avid boater and cruiser for over 15 years, Tim Hasson has a diverse background in public safety, technical training,
computer programming/network administration, and is the former owner of a computer service and support business in
suburban Philadelphia.
Tim, through his company Tech Yacht.Com, now specializes in marine electronics, with a particular
emphasis on communications, weather and electronic navigation. You may recognize Tim from his numerous feature articles
in publications such as Blue Water Sailing, his lectures at a variety of events, or his role as the electronics
consultant for the Caribbean 1500.
Tim will participate in our pre-departure routine and help coordinate the daily
conference calls and skeds, as he did with last year's event, but perhaps of greater value, our participants can tap into
Tim's experties and experience in outfitting their boats with electronic gear, whether it be an SSB, chartplotter, Navtex
receiver or anything else you desire to put on your boat. If it's electronic, Tim can help, both with consulting
on the solution, purchase and installation, or teaching you how to use whatever gear you already have. Tim is a great
addition to our team, and our participants are very lucky to have his knowledge working for them.
